MATCHA APPLE CAKE


MATCHA APPLE WITH CREME PÂTISSERIE CAKE! 


THE FILLING:

Koko Riko Tea culinary grade matcha  
4 egg yolks
100g caster sugar   
25g plain flour
2 tsp cornflour
280ml milk OR soy milk
Ready-made dough 
3 apples

 

 

HOW TO:

  • STEP 1
    Beat the egg yolks and sugar for a few minutes until pale and slightly thickened. 
  • STEP 2
    Whisk in the flour and 3tbsp of matcha.
  • STEP 3
    Heat the milk in a saucepan until stating to boil.
  • STEP 4
    Whisk the milk into the egg mix.

  • STEP 5
    Put the whole lot back into the pan, stirring all the time until thick and boiling.
  • STEP 6
    Take the pan off the heat - cover with cling-film to prevent a skin from forming.
  • STEP 7
    Put the dough in a cake tray.
  • STEP 8
    You can start to add the filling on top of the dough and fill it in.
  • STEP 9
    Cut the apples is slices and put it on top of the filling. 
  • STEP 10 
    Bake for 35 min at 200 degrees C.
